WHEN THE TRUTH IS FINALLY MADE KNOWN

A truthful reality cannot be defined in a space of time where the presumed facts of a matter have been placed within restrictive and prejudiced borders. Defining a truthful reality requires unfiltered and unrestricted evidence supplied from the past, present, and future.

Some of what we are being asked to accept as truth today will be proven to be a lie in the future when evidence from the past arrives to dismantle our assumptions about the present and our predictions about the future. God and His truth are unchangeable across all generations.

Truth, when it arrives, becomes a clarifying and cleansing agent informing the present and reinterpreting the past. When truth arrives folly and vain imaginations will be revealed and disempowered. Only then is a hopeful future possible.

Do not become frustrated or lose heart if it seems liars and thieves of truth seem to be carrying the day. In the future when all the evidence is finally in “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32). In that day, we will be set free from the falsehoods we were asked to accept as undeniable fact. Those falsehoods will be shown to be nothing more than well-crafted deceptions that were too easily digested as fact by those who had abandoned the truth and placed their trust in the hands of the creators of a deceptive idolatry.

Even Jesus, as Messiah on earth, was confronted with partial truths, biased claims, and flawed perspectives related to decisions (judgments) that he was asked to make for the poor and oppressed. Would he limit his judgment to what he could see and hear, like mortal human judges?

Is 11.1-5 declares that Messiah would SMELL (Heb: ruach, sniffed for an aroma) the fear of the Lord to make decisions for the poor and oppressed.

We are promised that continued obedience to Jesus (Jn 8.25-32) makes us disciples who can then “continue to know the truth.” We need to stay in a tight relationship with The Truth in order to continue to know and apply the truth in our walk.

“The men of Israel looked them over and accepted the evidence. But they didn’t ask God about it. (Jos 9:14) Truth lives within us. Are we listening? “Nothing could make me happier than getting reports that my children continue diligently in the way of Truth.”
