A Political Spirit

A political spirit does not limit its influence within the realm of politics. It is present wherever compromise overcomes ethics. It is present in churches, denominations, corporations, and organizations where managers, not apostolic gifts lead a group. A political spirit forms its alliances in hallways and backrooms. It then enters a decision-making gathering where the unsuspecting are gathered to be led unknowingly through a process of agreement toward a pre-determined outcome. Those naïve to these manipulations come away thinking their voice was heard, and the process was honored. The sad reality is they were used as pawns to push through an agenda. Apostles confront and remove a political spirit because the heart of God takes a greater priority in their thinking than any alliance and agreement.
