In 1994 I received a word from the Lord that has helped us significantly over these many years. Jan and I were vacationing in what was known as Carl’s Cabin on the Stillwater River, a few miles outside of Absarokee, Montana. One early morning I heard these words from the Holy Spirit:
“My ability to lead you into truth is greater than the enemy’s ability to lead you into error.”
Unknown to us at the time, we were about to make a life-changing decision to return overseas—this time to Eastern Europe.
We held tightly to that beautiful truth through the emotional goodbyes to family and friends. It guided us through the upheaval of selling our home and most of our belongings once again. It comforted us when those we loved and respected disagreed with our decision and spoke against us. God’s word was imprinted on our hearts as we prepared to step into a huge transition and a new assignment in places we had never set foot.
And that was only the beginning of how much we needed to be reminded that God was going before us and leading us. We saw with clarity that the Adversary assigns deterrents at the doorway of new assignments. Those very deterrents helped confirm the word God had spoken to us.
As you step out in faith, hear this:
God’s ability to lead you into truth is greater than the enemy’s ability to lead you into error.
God’s ability to protect and sustain you is greater than the enemy’s ability to destroy you.
God’s ability to bring life is greater than the enemy’s ability to bring death.
Thank you Garris!
This brings peace and helps. Wonderful encouraging word!
Be blessed, you and your loved ones.
