AT THE TIP OF THE ENEMY’S SPEAR

The weapon of judgment aimed at you will not hit its mark when faith is present. An unexpected turn of events will leave you amazed at God’s power and protection.

As I was praying this morning, I saw a warrior preparing to thrust his spear into the heart of a person’s hope to deal a fatal blow to their faith. Instead of closing their eyes and wincing at what was to come, the person under attack smiled and stood confidently in the Lord’s faithfulness. As the warrior drew back his spear in preparation to issue a fatal thrust, the head of his spear detached and fell to the ground. To the amazement of those witnessing the event, and the attacker himself, the attack was over in an instant.

What is coming at you has no authority over you if you are standing in a posture of faith and trusting in the Lord. Stand and watch as the Lord does the unexpected. This work of His protecting grace is not just for you. It is for your family, your city, and beyond. People are about to see profound works of the Lord’s protection from the attacks of the enemy. Your shield of faith does more than protect you from the enemy. The presence of faith disables those attacks in profound and unexpected ways.

“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD” (Isaiah 54:17).

It is not a coincidence that as I move through the Old Testament I open this morning to the story of Daniel being thrown into the fire with his two friends. We have our Father’s Covering, regardless of the outcome in this world, but I do believe our faith will be the witness you describe. Ultimately, God wins.

Sorry to correct you Martin but Daniel was not present when the three were thrown into the fire. It was Shadrach, Meshach ans Abed-negro.

I stand corrected Tim. In my haste to comment I threw Daniel in the fire too. Apologies to Daniel.

    Thank you!
I was prying Isa. 54:17 over myself and my family yesterday. I appreciate all that you write. I really appreciate this today. Again, thank you!
