Truth, the heart of God kind of truth, can be hidden behind an offense we hold against someone, a particular worldview we don’t agree with or a personality type we find inappropriate. These issues must never be allowed to become an emotional or intellectual barrier holding us back from stepping through their restriction to discover the truth. They are diversions. This applies to all areas of life – to our friendships, family, how we cast our vote, and the workplace. Jesus was always able to look through these visceral barriers to see where the Father was at work. He courageously stepped through each barrier, no matter how unpopular or forbidden His decision was to those who stood in His way.
