Integrity is not just the result of making the right choices. It creates a pathway that is marked by our choices to love and honor God. After Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, he was brought to Egypt, where he was purchased as a slave by a man named...
We've been told the word "they" is a divisive word. For some, the word has become a social cuss word, describing its usage as something divisive and to be avoided. If a person's heart is not in tune with God's Spirit, it could be interpreted that way. It wasn't...
This morning, while I was praying, I saw a map that had been spread out across a large table. Then another map was provided, drawn with new borderlines and distinctions. The new map was then placed over the old map. I asked the Lord what the new map signified. I heard...
“The borrower is the slave of the lender” (Proverbs 22:7). A deeper look into our national economic system provided by insightful analysts is telling us a major contributing factor to the future collapse of our economy will be our willingness to take on increasing...
The curses and assignments of the enemy to kill, steal, and destroy are coming back to haunt him. They are also coming back to dismantle his plans. An unexpected boomerang effect is taking place. Several years ago, my wife, Jan, spoke to me about a boomerang...
Each year in January, I am drawn to the book of Proverbs to glean wisdom for the year. A friend of mine recently said that in 2023, the book of Proverbs will give the Church a backbone. I interpreted that comment to mean that the wisdom and common sense expressed in...
This morning as I walked into our living room to sit in my writing chair, I passed by a bookshelf that houses some of the library that contains study books I used for 35 years as a pastor. Those books helped me unpack Scripture and create thousands of weekly sermons....
Last night, I had an intense dream. At one point, I woke up in the middle of the dream like I was in an intermission at a theater. After the intermission, I went back to sleep and reentered the dream, and picked it up where I left off without missing a beat. I...
The first-century apostles meant business when they referred to the purity and exclusivity of Jesus Christ. It’s what led to their martyrdom. In the first decades of the Church, heresies arose that required the apostles to write letters to various churches warning and...
In times of insecurity, fear, or rebellion, we can take on the mannerisms and lifestyles of an identity that is not someone who walks with the Lord. We begin to blend in with the world around us and in the process, lose our distinction as sons and daughters of God....
Empires of lies are beginning to crumble. Global cabals that have worked in protected secrecy are being exposed and dismantled because of prayer and prophet declarations that have eroded their dark foundations. Never lose hope. The truth will always prevail.
We are living in a battle of opinions. Many of the opinions we hear are offered by loose cannons. Much of what is being said today in the public square is like a loose cannon aboard a sailing vessel. If a cannon is not properly secured to the deck of the ship when it...
Jan and I live along what is considered by many seismologists to be the most dangerous earthquake fault line in the world. It is called the Cascadia Subduction Zone. This fault line runs just off the coast of northern California, Oregon, Washington, and...
Yesterday, out in our dog kennel, a blossom appeared on a lilac shrub. The lilac and all the other plants and trees on our property have bare limbs. Spring is still weeks away. In our 20 years living here, we have never seen this happen before to have the leaves of...
Last night, I had a dream. In the dream, I saw an image of rats quickly and quietly abandoning a ship. I knew the image represented what is happening with alliances that were formed to put people in places of authority in our nation whose assignment it was to promote...
