I recently watched a video about hyenas. They make an annoying shriek. When an entire group of hyenas is shrieking en masse, it gives off a mocking sound. At certain times, the voices of disagreement we hear in our culture sound like a pack of hyenas shrieking in...
When God exposes our sin, He has a purpose for that exposure. He wants to set, and in some cases, reset the boundary of our lives where the Lord, not our rebellion against Him, defines our lives. Micah was a prophet. He prophesied about the people's accountability for...
Learning how to rest in God is one of the most powerful experiences we can have in our lives of faith. The more we learn how to rest in God, the things we pursued to fill the void of our emotional and spiritual restlessness will diminish their influence on our lives....
Martha and Mary had two very different personalities and outlooks on life. Martha worried and Mary rested. When their brother Lazarus died, it took a few days for the Lord to finally arrive at his tomb. When He arrived, He called Lazarus back to life. The two...

Yesterday, I was power washing a section of a white picket fence in preparation to give it a new coat of paint. The fence is a least 35 years old and was erected by the previous owner. When I pushed against the fence, it made a cracking sound. Upon investigation, I...
I recently listened to an interview with a general who was commenting on leadership in the military. He said politically motivated command staff who live far removed from actual combat and attempt to criticize the decisions made by people in the middle of a conflict...
People have grown weary of where our nation is heading under leadership that has opened the door for a flood of absurd and ungodly change – a change that is being forced upon its citizens. They are also weary of silent leaders within the Church who have been groomed...
The wind of the Spirit is beginning to blow through the Church. When it arrives in full force, it will topple all the things we have erected that have blinded people from seeing the beauty and simplicity of Jesus. This wind, once it completes its work in our lives,...
