It has become popular in some circles of the Church to dismiss the current expression of the nation of Israel, thinking its national goals have separated it from God. If that were the case, all of us would be separated from God because none of us are perfect, and no...
We need to be careful accepting the definitions provided by some theologians of what they have defined as only a metaphor. Unless we are careful about accepting all we have been taught to believe, we will accept a logical understanding for things not meant to be...
One section of Scripture has changed how I interpret the results of our faith. Faith is not an intellectual choice. It is a spiritual act - a seed that contains miraculous potential. It can release profound miracles that no human intellect can comprehend or create. It...
Many times, we wonder why the presence of God seems distant from a vision or project, especially for something we believe the Lord has called us to accomplish. This morning, I heard the words “Unfinished Business.” I asked the Lord to help me understand what He was...
We are all being conditioned by something or someone. None of us are immune from this process. The conditioning will either take place by the Spirit of God or the spirit of the age. Most people never stop long enough to unpack this reality and go on living allowing...
We have entered a critical juncture in our history where the word of the Lord will appear to many people of faith to be out of step with their current understanding of reality, and even their understanding of the mission of the Church. Prophetic insight has never been...

I see fatigue taking place in the people of God. This fatigue comes from living under a never-ending assault against Jesus Christ, His Kingdom, and His followers. While certain seasons of life can carry a unique fatigue factor, to ascribe this sense of fatigue to only...
While in college, I worked during the summer as a lifeguard at a large city pool. I also taught swimming and trained future lifeguards. When not teaching or training, we lifeguards would sit for hours in a lifeguard tower watching over hundreds of kids splashing,...
Twenty years ago today, Jan and I watched along with the rest of our nation the horror of 9/11 unfolding on our television screen. The terrorist attack was one of the most successful military operations in history conducted by a band of terrorists against the most...
In some ways, I am more concerned with people who say “Don’t worry about it” or “You are overacting” than I am about who or what is causing the concern. In human history we have demonstrated an astounding ability to dismiss an emerging negative spiritual reality until...
Trojan horses filled with a variety of deceptions have been created and rolled into the center of our churches, communities, and institutions of culture. At first, there was a sense of excitement for those who were carried inside the horse. They felt they were on a...
