New tribes are forming within communities of faith during this intense and fragile time of cultural change. As the heat of this change reaches a boiling point, a separation of existing relationships is taking place. If our hearts remain pliable in God’s hands, this separation will not create a negative form of tribalism where division and suspicion rule. It will release people to accomplish more for God, offering a new clarity and focus that will allow a more expansive and creative expression of God’s Kingdom on Earth. Give people the freedom to explore these new tribes and expand their horizon of engagement. This is not a time to be overly protective. Open your hands and hold all things loosely, especially your relationships.
