Jan and I have been part of the development of an international ministry with tremendous global impact. The ministry has been stewarded with utmost integrity and professionalism. They are right at the place of release, but there have been repeated delays in the final execution of their ministry. While the Lord can use delays in a righteous sense, this is another story. It is a delay akin to what happened in Daniel 10 when an angel tried to answer Daniel’s prayers but was hindered. The angel spoke to Daniel, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven“ (20:12). Heaven heard Daniel’s prayer but a hindrance in the second heaven prevented the delivery.

Last night, we had a conference phone call with all of us involved in this ministry’s prophetic/prayer support. In prayer, it was revealed the ministry was experiencing a delaying moment birthed from hell. It was not the ministry that was the problem. We are dealing with opposing spiritual forces strategically assigned to stall the full launch of the potential of this Kingdom effort. 

Our prayers began with an appeal to Heaven to bind the work of hell and to release the stalling grip placed upon the ministry. We then transitioned into a time of worship, confession, and repentance. We also experienced an extended time of prayer in tongues. You could sense something shifted in the Spirit. It was so dramatic that I asked the person recording our session to mark the time when our prayers began. That time will mark a moment in the history of this ministry that will become part of their miraculous testimony.

If you are in a season of delay when it makes no sense a delay should be present, it is time to call your involved parties together for a time of extended prayer, confession, and worship. We are called to interfere with any delay the enemy has no right to execute. Someday, as the history of the Church is reviewed from a heavenly perspective, it will be a sad commentary to realize what was not fulfilled in our time was because we did not engage the perpetrators of our delay. This is a time that will be defined as “No more delay!” if the Church prays, worships, declares, and believes in the professed will of God.
