While working as a detective, I had a conversation with a noted lawyer during a recess in a court proceeding. He commented, “If it were a matter of law, I would rather have a judge, not a jury, hear my case. If the disposition of the case in my favor required an emotional judgment, I would prefer to have a jury trial and appeal to the emotions of the jurors, not the law.”
Today, no matter what judgment is brought against you, only the Lord can rightly determine the truth of your case. Don’t allow the limitations of other people’s misguided emotional interpretations of your reality to define your life. Only the Lord holds that authority.
