The Psalmist writes to those who are living under the weight of deferred hope that speaks louder than God’s promise. The delay has been years. Doubts fill your mind, and you are pressed to give up the good fight of faith:
“Unless the Lord had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave. I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer” (Psalm 94: 17-19).
Remember who He is for you, and what He has done. Capture every doubt and insist that it come under His rulership. Gratitude is the key: Remember when you cried out to Him and His comfort renewed you—sometimes moment by moment.
He is the same today as He was yesterday. Persevere by remembering His unfailing love, His support, His comfort. Persevere as you wait for miracles in the process of fulfillment. Even if you should go Home before you see the full breakthrough, His Word stands true forever. Celebrate His promise today, because He never goes back on His word.
God’s unfailing love and support for you, and the joy He has for you, bring renewed hope that will impact present and future generations.
