When I read how the Lord challenged Job concerning his faith, a portion of a verse caught my eye, “The light disturbs the wicked” (38:15a). We think of light as simply illuminating things or defining day and night, but light also has an aggressive side. It is spiritually disruptive.
For those who are moving forward under the illumination of the Spirit, their presence can become a disturbing presence. The light of truth they carry will expose lies that have remained hidden under the veil of the status quo. Dark agendas will be seen for what they are and begin to collapse under the disruptive brilliance of truth.
The light of God’s truth is expressing itself in forceful ways as we come to the end of 2020. These are not days where the spiritually timid will feel comfortable. They might not even be able to affirm the disturbance taking place is from God.
Be careful not to judge anything before the light has fully illuminated what is being exposed. Allow the light of God’s truth to have its way, and it will bring clarity to the path ahead.
