Paul stated in Ephesians 4 the evidence of our spiritual maturity is the ability to speak the truth in love. The ability to speak the truth without the restricting fear of censure and punishment is what freedom looks like.

Those who attempt to silence the dissent of truth speakers prosecuting them into silence are the greatest threat to the future health of a nation. It is also a threat to the integrity of a follower of Christ who chooses to remain silent at a time when the voice of truth needs to be heard.
