When I pray for leaders, I pray they would be courageous and follow the leading of the Spirit. I pray they would break away from the prepared script scrolling before them on a teleprompter or from a written text they have been handed and told to read. I ask the Lord to open their eyes to see they have become a pawn, a mannequin-like offering of a message that is not true but is a text of finely crafted lies easily digested by an undiscerning audience.
This mannequin spirit is currently afoot and functioning in overdrive. While people are busy tossing insults at the mannequins something else is taking place behind the scenes, and off-stage. We need to ask the Lord to give us discernment to see through these choreographed presentations to understand what the handlers of the mannequin intend to do with their mannequin’s message.
To engage in this kind of prayer, we must subdue our emotions and what we have been told to believe, or we will direct our efforts toward the mannequin, not the mannequin’s handlers and the spirits who control the handlers. These handlers are being manipulated by spiritual principalities who have directed the course of nations and religious institutions for millennia.
This kind of prayer is spiritual warfare – a warfare that can produce miracles of divine intervention. These miracles will cause a mannequin to realize how they are being used and unexpectedly go off-script to declare the word of the Lord. God has not abandoned anyone, even the mannequins. Expect this kind of intervention to take place as the rhetoric of war and social disorder increases and people move deeper into despair. These interventions will be a stark reminder that God is at work.
