THE MORE: THE MEASURE OF TRUE WEALTH

Wealth is a relative term. The zeros behind wealth do not determine its value; it’s the value we place on any amount. The Psalmist wrote: “If your wealth increases, don’t make it the center of your life” (Psalm 62:10).

Scripture tells us: Listen, everyone—both rich and poor together: There is no reason to fear when troubling times come, even when you are surrounded with problems. Your adversaries and persecutors trust in their treasures and boast in their riches, yet no one can rescue himself, much less his own brother, from the guilt of his sins. Their soul’s redemption is too costly and precious for anyone to pay with earthly wealth—the price is never enough to purchase eternal life. And their idols of material wealth will not go with them at their time of death (see Psalm 49:1-9, 17).

The wealth of the world is nothing to God, so if our wealth increases, we must deal with our pride in our accomplishments and possessions. And we must not put trust in those thiings.

God the Almighty spoke, saying: I tell you, once and for all, all the strength and power you need flows from me!

All the love you need is found in Me! The greater your passion for more of Me, the greater reward I will give you (see Psalm 62:11-12).

Jesus is “The More.” He alone is our Safe Place. He is our Champion Defender, Savior, Hero, and Life-Giving Strength. Trust only in Him every moment. Believe Me that when you tell Him all your troubles and pour out your longings to Him, He will help you (see vs. 5-8).
