One aspect of the gift of discernment is the ability to determine who or what is trying to gain our ear. This journey of discernment will often begin by asking questions, especially about the credibility of those whose mission is to tell us who or what to believe. 

When Spirit-led discernment is functioning it will raise our ears above the din of culture to listen and explore what we have been told to either accept or dismiss without examination. What is at play is a battle for how we think and reason. This is not limited to those outside the Church. It has become a battle for the minds of believers whose thoughts had once been renewed but now have succumbed to the false reasoning of the spirit of the age. 

There is a lot of deceptive noise being produced in an attempt to smother the voice of truth. To counter this assault, we must be willing to tune into the frequency of the Spirit and tune out the mockery and dismissal the purveyors of lies will use to silence our objections and gain our compliance.

A radical and supernaturally informed discernment is on the rise. As the effects of that discernment gain traction, a process of revelation will begin to disempower and dismantle the most seductive and widely accepted deceptions. 

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17).
