In the coming weeks, my hope and prayer will be that we, as people of faith, would not join the mocking and dismissing chorus of a nervous culture. God does His most significant work behind the scenes and outside the limited scope of natural thinking that produces these negative responses. When God’s work is complete, He will reveal its substance upon the stage of culture in a demonstration of His power. God’s demonstration will contradict the heart and content of a mocking and dismissive spirit. By not aligning our thoughts and our voice with these spirits, we will in a place to see God’s resurrection power demonstrated in ways that a mocking and dismissive spirit could never imagine.
