We are smelling the stench of rotted morals. We see it happening in our streets, families, and in our government when evil is allowed to remain unchallenged, degrading the human experience. Sometimes, when a leader attempts to instill a sense of morality, their...
We frequently hear the phrase, "Your words will produce a violent response!" That threatening comment is not a reason for a believer to remain silent when the truth is not being honored. Charlie Kirk was killed because he spoke the truth about life, marriage, and...
When the legal system of any nation is unjust and fails to convict the guilty, anarchy will increase because there is no fear of prosecution when someone commits a crime. The spirit of anarchy will show favoritism to the criminal in our courts, not to the law. As a...
As I sought the Lord and tried to understand what is happening at this moment in history, I came away with two words – preparation and graduation. All will be offered preparation, but not all will graduate. One aspect of this time of preparation will be our...
In August, Jan and I will celebrate 50 years of marriage. One thing has been present in our relationship for all those years – touch. Whether it’s a hug, puckered lips offering a kiss, or a love pat in passing, I want Jan to experience my love for her every...
Finding common ground with people to resolve an issue and move forward together is a noble task. It’s noble if in the process we don’t compromise our integrity or dishonor who or what we represent. Politics is where most of us see the process of compromise in a...
Be careful assuming we can dismiss Scripture simply because it was written in the Old Testament. “Your word, Lord, is eternal, it stands firm in the heavens” (Psalm 119:89). Jesus quoted Scripture from Deuteronomy as a challenge to the devil’s lies during His...

The word “spectrum” is being used with increasing frequency to describe a wide variety of interpretations regarding human sexuality. An alphabet soup of choices on the sexual spectrum is being displayed, even encouraged, as valid choices for people to make. While the...
There are times when the Lord will ask us to step into a situation that, according to a natural interpretation of an outcome, would spell our doom. Those who take these steps of faith, steps that contradict conventional wisdom and human reasoning, will be the ones who...
During certain seasons of life, we will walk through a darkened landscape where it's difficult to see the way forward. In those moments, we need to slow down to ensure we are placing our feet on the solid ground of truth not assuming our next step. Before we take our...
This is not a warm and fuzzy prophetic word that will make us feel good. It is a somber warning. Unless we understand its reality, we will become unwitting victims of something we do not need to experience. A recent news report advised that a snapping turtle, an...
The Navy SEALS obstacle course is one of the most challenging tests of human endurance in the world. The first thing to go is a participant's grip strength. Climbing walls, shimmying up multiple ropes, and traversing walls pump so much blood and lactic acid into a...
We are living in a time like none that I have seen in my life. Wisdom and the word of God will be needed to navigate what is coming. A naïve “Que sera sera” attitude will become a dangerous stumbling block for many people of faith if certain precautions are not set in...
