When the Church realizes what she carries, that realization will change how we see and respond to each life situation. As the Triumphant Entry was taking place, Jesus approached the city of Jerusalem riding atop a donkey. This would fulfill Zechariah’s prophecy about...
Yesterday, the Lord said to me, “Refuse to become a victim of other people’s brokenness.” It was a specific instruction for a specific situation in my life. The Lord was reminding me that adopting a victim mentality is never God’s will. Later in the day, Jan was...
Jesus set the stage to make a very strong comment to His disciples. The Lord was never afraid of making strong statements about the consequences of our unrepented sin. He still makes these comments today amidst the current attempts to give us permission to live with...
Today, I was watching the beautiful Yakima River flow past our hotel room moving downstream to join with the mighty Columbia. In the river I saw an image. It was the image of a single gallon of water floating downstream hidden in the middle of the river’s massive...
God is good. Those three words comprise the greatest truth a human being will ever discover about God. The spiritual giants of the faith discovered that truth time and time again throughout the course of history. The record of their discoveries is contained in...

A dictionary definition of a lynch mob is, “ A group of people who condemn and punish a person without a fair trial.” This is not limited to an Old West image of a mob of rowdy cowboys throwing a rope over a tree limb to hang someone without legal process. It is done...
This morning, Jan and I walked past the vineyards near our home. It was a stunning day filled with blue sky, white clouds and rich earth. We saw the coming harvest of grapes hanging heavy on the vines. The grapes we still green and not yet ready to pick. As soon as I...
Recently, I was walking along under a covered sidewalk in a small town known as a tourist destination. Hanging above my head were signs advertising each business along the sidewalk. These signs hung on chains. A sudden breeze began to blow causing all the signs to...
