Our weather service just warned our area that a strong storm is coming. They predict extensive rain and flash floods. In the Spirit, storms are also coming that will arrive in seasons where we would not expect their appearance. It is just a bit after 4:00 a.m., and I...
“The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us’” (Matthew 1:23). Immanuel is a word used frequently during Christmas. His presence is larger than a theological concept or definition. It...
I remember the first time I heard a car backfire. The loud and piercing sound broke through the normal sounds of life and got my attention. The backfire was the sound of something coming to life. No matter the depths of evil being planned and expressed in our world,...
Some of you are approaching a relational fork in the road. At this intersection, good people with longstanding relationships will disagree over sensitive issues and then choose to take different paths into the future. This does not have to be a negative...
Spiritual alarm bells are not always heard by the masses. In the turning of a cultural tide, the glaring clang of alarm will be heard by those whose ears are tuned to the sound of freedom. If culture-wide deafness goes on for too long, a nation can miss a God-given...

Every life-assignment requires some form of gear. Gear is that equipment you make sure is ready and functional in case the stuff of life hits the fan. Before an operation, a special forces operator does a final check of their gear to make sure everything is in place...
It never ceases to amaze me how some people will negatively interpret what we write or speak. Some personal filters are so biased it does not matter how clear something is written or spoken, their personal bias hijacks their reasoning and interpretation. At that...
The life-road you have been traveling has been filled with potholes, dust, and dirt. The speed at which you thought your life would have moved forward has been hindered by these conditions. You wanted to press the accelerator but could not, fearing the relational...
This is a moment in history where a significant global shift is taking place. It can seem overwhelming to try and understand all that is happening in the world. It can feel like someone trying to walk across uneven ground wearing a blindfold. It can make you feel as...
